Shooting on I-880 in San Leandro under investigation

(KRON) -- An early Sunday shooting on northbound Interstate 880 in San Leandro is being investigated, the California Highway Patrol Hayward Area said Tuesday.On Sept. 17 at around 3:16 a.m., the CHP Hayward Area office received a report of a possible freeway shooting on I-880 south of Davis Street in San Leandro.Authorities located one victim who did not sustain any injuries. The victim’s vehicle was struck twice in the shooting, CHP said. Investigators believe the shooting occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. Police: Santa Rosa student, 14, arrested for bringing imitation firearm to school No suspect has been identified and the incident remains under investigation. CHP Hayward Area is asking the public to please call the CHP Hayward Area office at (510)-489-1500 with any information regarding the shooting.

DENVER (KDVR) — Larimer County deputies have released new information about a suspicious death on a trail near Horsetooth Reservoir in the hopes someone will come forward with information on what happened.On Sept. 10 at around 10:18 a.m., 64-year-old Paul Gallenstein of Fort Collins was found dead on the Foothills Trail near Horsetooth. At the time, deputies called his death "suspicious."Teams search for weaponOn Tuesday, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said Gallenstein's death was caused by a gunshot injury. However, the manner of his death has still not been determined. New York (CNN) — Kraft Heinz is recalling about 83,000 cases of its individually wrapped Kraft Singles American cheese because they might pose a choking hazard.The company said in a statement that a “temporary issue” with one of its wrapping machines means a “thin strip of the individual film may remain on the slice after the wrapper has been removed.” If that isn’t removed, it could be “unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard.”Kraft said that it issued a recall after “several” customer complaints of finding the piece of plastic on its cheese, including six complaints from eaters that choked or gagged on it.
