ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Board of Alderman’s Committee of the Whole met virtually Wednesday and discussed some of the ideas for spending funds received from a lawsuit over the departure of the former St. Louis Rams.The city received $280 million, including $30 million for an expansion of the Dome at America’s Center. The money has been sitting in an interest-bearing account while city lawmakers work on approving how the money will be spent.During Wednesday’s meeting, Cristina Garmendia, police advisor to the board’s president, shared feedback received from residents through an online survey.When asked about some of the challenges residents faced, some of the top responses included car damage from streets, student loan debt, and not receiving a timely or appropriate emergency response when calling 911.Residents also have an opportunity to submit ideas to address challenges. Juvenile arrested for threat against Clinton County high school

CLINTON COUNTY, Ill. – The Clinton County State's Attorney's Office is considering charges against a juvenile who allegedly made a threat against a local high school Wednesday morning.According to Clinton County Sheriff Dan Travous, his office was notified around 6:30 a.m. of a threat against Wesclin High School.The school, located just off Illinois 160 between the cities of Trenton and New Baden, was closed as a precaution. Deputies were also dispatched to Wesclin Middle School. Multiple people reported dead, injured in Maine shootings By 1 p.m., investigators had obtained enough evidence to visit a home for a possible suspect, Travous said. WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KRON) -- The Walnut Creek Police Department is investigating more robberies as businesses say they're seeing a spike in crime. Just last week, Lululemon was taken for thousands of dollars. Police managed to catch the suspect in the Lululemon theft on Oct. 18, which totaled approximately $10,000. Former Md. youth track coach sentenced to 21 years in prison for sexually abusing child

A former youth track coach from Waldorf, Maryland, will spend more than 20 years in prison after being sentenced for second degree rape, child pornography, and other offenses.Over the summer, 34-year-old Warren Gray plead guilty to the abuse, which started in 2017 when the victim was just 13 years old. It went on for four years and in 2021, Gray was arrested.The victim was a member of the track and field team at New Wave Track Club.Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said even after his arrest, Gray tried to argue that he believed that the victim was another coach on the team and not a 13-year-old girl — a claim Braveboy said nobody was buying.“It was completely unbelievable.
