Salut Bar Americain, a longtime brasserie-style French spot on Grand Avenue, is set to close by Jan. 8.Parasole Restaurant Holdings, which runs Salut locations in St. Paul and Edina, plus other restaurants including Manny’s Steakhouse and Good Earth, has decided not to renew the Grand Avenue lease when it expires in January.“We found that our other stores were supplementing this store, and with prices going up across the board, we couldn’t make sense of it anymore,” said Parasole chief operating officer Donna Fahs. “As I said to the staff… every time we open the door, we lose money.”In St. Paul, Salut Bar Americain was known for its spacious patio and accessible French-inspired menu.The restaurant opened on Grand Avenue in 2008 in the former Sidney’s space. Lake Katrine man arrested on burglary charge

LLOYD, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Lake Katrine man has been arrested following a burglary investigation, according to the Town of Lloyd Police Department. Sergio Ulysse, 41, is facing multiple charges. Police say Ulysse allegedly broke into the residence and attempted to steal personal property before being confronted by the homeowner. Ulysse then reportedly fled the area on foot and was arrested after being located on the nearby rail trail. He was charged with second-degree burglary and attempted larceny. Ulster Police investigating Christmas Eve car crash Ulysse was arraigned at the Town of Lloyd Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $5,000 cash bail. He is due back in court on January 2.

Ulster Police investigating Christmas Eve car crash

ULSTER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Ulster Police Department announced they are investigating a car crash that occurred on December 24. The incident took place on Route 209 southbound between Sawkill Road and Route 28. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! On Sunday at 5:58 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area following reports of a head-on crash involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, both cars were found with significant damage and both drivers were trapped inside their respective vehicles. Crews were able to remove the two motorists safely in less than 30 minutes using hydraulic rescue tools. Both people were then transported to nearby hospitals to be treated for serious injuries. The investigation remains ongoing.
