Livermore man gets 5 days in jail for killing woman in 2022 DUI crash

DUBLIN — A Livermore man who was originally charged with vehicular manslaughter has been sentenced to probation and a brief jail stint for killing a pedestrian in a 2022 crash in Dublin, court records show.In a deal with Alameda County prosecutors, 43-year-old Giovanni Fissore pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of drunk driving causing injury. The charge carries a maximum of a year in jail, but Fissore was sentenced to five days of jail and ended up spending three days in the Alameda County Sheriff’s work alternative program. FBI director: Antisemitism at ‘historic level’ in the US
