ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills restocked their offensive backfield by signing free agent Damien Harris to a one-year contract on Tuesday.Harris spent his first four NFL seasons with the division-rival New England Patriots, and his signing comes a day after Buffalo lost starter Devin Singletary, who agreed to a deal with Houston. Harris led the Patriots with 2,094 yards rushing and 20 TDs rushing since being selected in the third round of the draft out of Alabama. He also had 40 catches for 281 yards.His best season came in 2021, when Harris finished with 929 yards rushing and scored 15 times, the second-most rushing TDs in a single season in team history. Littleton police searching for armed robbery suspects

LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) -- Police in Littleton are searching for three armed robbery suspects and temporarily had two nearby schools on secure perimeter. According to LPD's tweets, the robbery occurred at Promise Park near the intersection of South Bannock Street and West Powers Place. Rapidly spreading deadly fungus already in Colorado, presents ‘urgent’ threat LPD said the suspects ran away after the robbery.Little High School and Littleton Prep were on secure perimeter but were cleared for dismissal around 3:45 p.m.People who live nearby were asked to shelter in place, but that was lifted around 4:15 p.m.Littleton police released vague descriptions of the suspects: All three are Hispanic males between the ages of 14 and 18 and all three were wearing all black clothing. One had curly dark hair, one had a short crew cut and one was wearing a mask and hood. One had white and red shoes.

Avs extend Bednar through 2026-27 season

DENVER (KDVR) -- Coach Jared Bednar will be leading the Colorado Avalanche for a few more years after he and the team agreed to a contract extension.Bednar's current contract was signed and November of 2021 and lasted through this season. This season hasn't been as polished but after pushing through a series of high-profile injuries the team remains among the top few teams in the NHL's Western Conference.Bednar is the coach with the second-most wins in franchise history and is the leader in that stat since the team moved to Colorado in 1995.The terms of Bednar's extension were not immediately disclosed with the announcement.

Police searching for 3 shooters in Hallandale Beach after at least 1 person shot

Shots rang out in Hallandale Beach, striking at least one person, said police, and now they are looking for the shooter or shooters they said fled the scene. Police arrived to the scene, in the area of South Dixie Highway, north of the county line, around 4 p.m., Tuesday. A neighbor said he heard four shots.“I just heard two shots, and then after a couple of seconds I heard two more, and then I heard nothing,” a man said, “and then I heard the helicopters, and that’s it.”“I saw a cop chasing a car,” said a woman. “I thought it was just a speeding person because people speed around all the time, but apparently it’s something more than that.”According to early reports, multiple people were shot in the area, but Hallandale Beach said they have only made contact with one person who was shot and they drove themselves to Aventura Hospital.They did, however, issue an alert to hospitals to be on the lookout for any gunshot victims ...

Medical experts have noticed a troubling trend in Broward County. BSO deputy charged for using taser on man during traffic stop

A Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy is being accused of betraying the badge.Officials said Carlos Ferrufino was conducting a traffic stop when he used a Taser on a relative of the driver who had started to record the encounter.Internal Affairs later determined that even though Ferrufino seized the phone as evidence, he never submitted it.Ferrufino, 34, turned himself in Tuesday morning at the Broward Main Jail. He has now been charged with misdemeanor battery, tampering with evidence and has been suspended without pay.

Paint chips falling off Tobin Bridge in Chelsea found to contain lead

A paint chip problem in Chelsea has recently raised concerns as environmental activists say pieces of paint falling from the Tobin Bridge contain lead.Now, stakeholders are calling on state leaders to step in and take action.“They’re all over the place,” one neighbor said of the paint chips. A walk below the bridge quickly reveals paint chips from above all over the ground, blanketing about a half mile of Chelsea. “It’s not only on the sidewalks and up against fence lines,” said Roseann Bongiovanni of the environmental group, Greenroots. “It’s on people’s steps. Vehicle crashes into Norwell funeral home
