ST. LOUIS - Someone broke into an ATM in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood.Police were called to the U.S. Bank branch at Hampton Avenue and Eichelberger Street at around 4:00 a.m. Top story: Report details fatal encounter between accused cop killer, Hermann police When they arrived, they found the front of the ATM had been ripped off. Jury awards $15M to mother of man who drowned in Mississippi River

ST. LOUIS - A St. Louis jury awards $15 million to the mother of a man who drowned in the Mississippi River.According to our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, back in 2019, 22-year-old Casey Redmond was working for Osage Marine Services when he and a supervisor were called to service a barge which was littered with debris and not equipped with non-slip coating. His body was never found.Prosecutors claim Osage Marine Services didn't make sure the barge was clean or safe, and didn't try to rescue Redmond after he fell. This is the second time in recent years the company was ordered to pay millions over a drowning.

Mercy and SSM Health not requiring masks for visitors, patients, and staff

LOUIS - Mercy and SSM Health are no longer requiring visitors, patients, and staff to wear masks at their facilities.Wednesday, they became the first major St. Louis area hospital to drop Covid-19 protective measures. They shared that it's because cases have gone down. Woman accused of harassment faces another bond hearing today

ST. LOUIS - A woman caught on camera in a viral video harassing a Latino family in south st. Louis is being held without bond, but that could change after a court hearing Thursday. New law raises the EU carbon sinks target for the land use and forestry sector, which should reduce greenhouse gases in the EU in 2030 by up to 57% compared to 1990, Plenary session, ENVI.Parliament has adopted with 479 votes to 97 and 43 abstentions the revision of the regulation on the land use, land use change and forestry sector (LULUCF) which seeks to improve natural carbon sinks to make the EU the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 and improve biodiversity in line with the European Green Deal.Both EU and national targets to boost carbon sinks by 2030The EU 2030 target for net greenhouse gas (GHG) removals in the land, land use change and forestry sector will be set at 310 million tonnes CO2 equivalent, which is around 15% more than today.
