Santa Clara Co., Cupertino reach deal on quarry development

(KRON) – Santa Clara County and the City of Cupertino have reached an agreement on the future development of the Permanente Quarry site.  Garage fire damages Sunset District home The quarry is expected to close, however it is unclear when that will happen. SFMTA awarded $30M for zero-emission vehicles

(KRON) – The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has been awarded $30 million in federal funds to support the transition towards zero-emission vehicles and facilities.  Garage fire damages Sunset District home The grant, which comes from the Department of Transportation, will also be used to modernize old bus facilities and yards. 'Safe and sane' fireworks sales underway in Dublin

16-year-old accused of murdering girlfriend

DENVER (KDVR) -- A 16-year-old boy from Greeley is charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend after she tried to break up with him.The teens dated for about six months, according to a release from the 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Weld County. Contaminated Denver land to be cleaned up for housing Investigators say that around 3:45 p.m. on June 16, Jovanni Sirio-Cardona broke into the 15-year-old girl's home on North 35th Avenue through a bedroom window then shot her several times.After this, Sirio-Cardona then allegedly took an iPhone from a witness in the home so they couldn't call 911 and left.In addition to murder charges, the boy is charged with burglary, aggravated robbery and possession of a handgun by a juvenile.Sirio-Cardona is being charged as an adult. Bond has been set at $2 million and he is set to appear in court again next month.

Miami-Dade Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 84-year-old man who may be in need of services. Otis James Hardemon was last seen on Tuesday, June 27, at approximately 4:00 p.m., leaving his residence near the 14800 block of Southwest 104 Avenue. Hardemon left in his vehicle which is described as a gray, four-door Mercedes-Benz with Florida tag 67AY1B. He is 5 feet, 10 inches and weighs about 125 pounds. Hardemon has brown eyes and is bald. He was last seen wearing black pants, a gray shirt, black and white sneakers and glasses. The missing person has not contacted any family or friends. Oladipo exercises $9.5 million option with Heat for this coming season

MIAMI (AP) — Victor Oladipo exercised his $9.5 million option on Tuesday and is now under contract with the Miami Heat for this coming season.He tore his left patellar tendon during the first round of the playoffs against Milwaukee in April. The 31-year-old guard underwent his third major surgery in the last four years — the other two were on his right knee area — and there is no timetable for his return.Oladipo was a two-time All-Star with Indiana before getting hurt in January 2019. Indiana traded him to Houston in January 2021. The Rockets traded him to Miami two months later; he played four games in March 2021 with the Heat before getting hurt again.Oladipo appeared in just eight regular-season games in the 2021-22 season while recovering from a second surgery to repair his right quadriceps tendon.
