Woman on lawn mower hit and killed by plane in Oklahoma

MCCURTAIN COUNTY. Okla. (KFOR) — A woman is dead after authorities say she was struck by a plane while mowing the lawn in Oklahoma last week. The woman, identified as 27-year-old Samantha Hayes, was on a lawn mower at the Broken Bow Airport in McCurtain County Friday afternoon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.At the same time, a 1972 Bananza A36 piloted by a 70-year-old man was coming in to land on the runway. NFL tight end suffers ‘burn injuries to face’ The pilot descended the plane, landed, and after touching down, officials said he saw Hayes on the lawn mower. According to authorities, the pilot then tried to pull up the plane, but the wing struck Hayes in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.The pilot was uninjured.

CLEVELAND (WJW) -- Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku was added to the injury report after "sustaining burn injuries to his face and arm during a household accident," the team said Saturday.The Browns also said Njoku is questionable for Sunday's game in Cleveland against the Baltimore Ravens. However, later Saturday afternoon, Njoku took to social media implying he'd be playing Sunday. "The flesh is weak. See u tomorrow DawgPound," he said in a post. CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the third straight game, the Vikings will be without starting center Garrett Bradbury. He was inactive for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers as he continues to work through a back injury.There was hope Bradbury might be able to play after being a limited participant in practice this week. Inmate dies at the St. Louis City Justice Center

ST. LOUIS -- Another inmate dies at the St. Louis City Justice Center. Jail officials tell our partners at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Juwon Carter, 44, suffered a medical emergency around 2 a.m. Saturday.Prior to Saturday there had been at least two inmate deaths at the Justice Center this year.FOX 2 Previously reported both occurred in a two-week stretch back in August.Missouri court records show carter had been in custody since May of last year on second-degree assault and involuntary manslaughter charges after the death of his infant son.

Teen shot and killed at Southlands Mall in Aurora

Aurora police are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left one teenager dead in a Southlands Mall parking lot.Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 8:30 p.m., and when they arrived on the scene they found a male teenager suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Aurora Police Department on X.#APDAlert Officers are investigating a fatal shooting outside the Southlands mall.When officers arrived they found one juvenile was suffering from a gunshot wound. 3 juveniles arrested for possession of stolen vehicle; 2 charged with robbery

Police detained three teens after they were found in a stolen car in Simi Valley. According to a Simi Valley Police Department release, authorities in Los Angeles provided their Simi Valley counterparts with information referencing a possible stolen vehicle out of L.A.  SVPD officers spotted the vehicle around 9 p.m. Saturday night in the 3800 block of Stell Drive and made contact with the three occupants.  Man dies after driving off cliff in San Pedro “The stolen vehicle was occupied by three juvenile male suspects who were detained and subsequently arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle,” SVPD said in a statement. “During the detention and investigation, it was later discovered that two of the juveniles had committed a robbery at knife point earlier that day in the Los Angeles area.” Officers seized the stolen vehicle and the weapon used at the scene. All three teens were booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Hall and booked for possession of a stolen...
