BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The cold and snowy day at Folsom Field began with Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders taking off his white cowboy hat near midfield and taking a bow.It ended in virtually the same spot, with the Buffaloes huddled around their new coach and the crowd cheering.Sanders and the Buffaloes certainly staged quite a show Saturday with the stands full of fans eager to catch a glimpse of what could be in store come fall. In more of a glorified practice than a spring game due to the snowy conditions, the Buffaloes showed something they haven’t in a hot minute — promise.“I’m amazed and just stoked,” said Sanders, who’s overhauling a squad that went 1-11 last season. “Today was phenomenal. Freeway, the SeaWorld sea lion fond of roaming San Diego's roads, has died

SAN DIEGO -- Freeway, the beloved rescue sea lion at SeaWorld known for waddling down San Diego's busy roads, passed away Thursday, the park announced."It is with heavy hearts that we share 'Freeway,' the rescued sea lion, passed away yesterday -- surrounded with love from his devoted care and rescue teams," SeaWorld said in a Facebook post Friday.Freeway, who was first rescued last year after he was found strolling on State Route 94, reportedly contracted a progressive disease that caused his health to deteriorate over time. After extensive treatment, SeaWorld said that his continued decline prompted his care team to humanely euthanize him to prevent further suffering.SeaWorld representatives did not specify the disease or its impacts, although they said it had developed prior to Freeway's rescue.
